How to Upgrade R4i Gold 3DS With V1.4.2 Patch

Recently ,www.r4ids.cn released the upgrade patch V1.4.2 for R4i Gold (Non 3DS) and R4i Gold 3DS. To help customer upgrade successfully the R4i Card , We published "R4i Gold 3DS Upgrade Guide " 。both pictures and texts are excellent ， It's perfectly simple and understandable.

Preparation:

• 1 X DSi / DS Lite Console under V1.4.2 (V1.3 U)
• 1 X DSi / DSi XL V1.4.2
• 1 X R4i Gold 3DS Card (r4ids.cn)
• 1 X Card Reader
• 1 X Memory Card

Upgrade

Setup 1 : Formart you Micro SD / SDHC Memory Card

Setup 2 : Download and unzip the File

Download the lasted Kernel Wood V1.29b from here ,Unzip and copy the files(_rpg ,_DS_MENU ,changelog ,readme.for.r4.isers ,WOODR4.NDS) to the root of MicroSD card.

Download the R4i Gold 3DS V1.4.2 Upgrade Patch from here , Unzip and copy the files(fwup142.nds ) to the root of MicroSD card

Copy your own files, including music, movies, pictures and other data to the Micro SD/SDHC memory card. here,the folder called "Game"

Setup 3 : Upgrade R4i Gold 3DS

1. Insert the Micro SD/SDHC to the R4i Gold. Plug in the R4i Gold with the microSD into DSi console . Turn on the DSi V1.3U console.

2. And go to the "WARNING – HEALTH AND SAFETY " . Press button A or Touch the touch screen to continue.

3. For DSi or DSi XL, you will see the following icon with the name MEET THE ROBINSONS DISNEY. Please touch the icon or press button A to continue.

4. You will see the following three option ,choose the "R4i_Gold_V1.4.2b_Patch/ " folder , Press button A or Touch the touch screen to continue

5. The bottom screen show two option ,choose the "V1.4.2_Patch_NDSi_nds" file , Press button A or Touch the touch screen to continue .

6. And then go to "V1.4.2 Patch for R4i Gold 3DS " Page , read the meassage on the top screen , and Press button A to upgrade the R4i Gold 3DS

7. Wait for R4i Gold Upgrading , Please Attention : Don't turn off or plug out the R4i Gold 3DS Card during Upgrading ,otherwise , it will damage your r4i card

8. Congratulation if you see the message as below . you have successfully upgrade Your R4i Gold.

Turn off your DSi , Plug out the R4i Card from slot 1 of the DSi console .

 

Testing on DSi XL V1.4.2

1. Plug in R4i Gold with the microSD into the slot 1 of the DSi XL V1.4.2 console. Turn on the DSi XL console.

2. Through the "WARNING – HEALTH AND SAFETY " page and then you got the following Picture , Press button A or Touch the touch screen to continue .

3. You will see two option , Please choose the "MicroSD Card" icon ,Press button A or Touch the touch screen to continue .

4. Enter to the " MicroSD Card " page ,and choose the "Game" icone , Press button A or Touch the touch screen to continue .

5. Now , enjoy playing Game......
